This is for students who wish to learn English for general purposes to enter English for Academic Purposes.

General English course is designed to focus on the development of speaking, listening, reading and writing skills for basic everyday use, strengthening grammar skills and learning a new vocabulary. There are four levels in the course and the student can commence in the level appropriate for them.
This is for students who wish to learn General English for personal reasons or for entry to Vocational Education Training or English for Academic Purposes.
12 weeks per level;
Full-time: 20 hours per week

Every Monday
Afternoon Class: Monday to Friday 12:30pm – 16:45pm
Evening Class: Monday to Friday 16:45pm – 21:00pm
Weekend Class: Saturday to Sunday 9:00am – 8:30pm
Participate in ALC placement test or provide evidence:
IELTS score of 2.5*to enter Starter
IELTS score of 3.0* to enter Elementary
IELTS score of 3.5* to enter Pre-Intermediate
IELTS score of 4.0* to enter Intermediate
IELTS score of 4.5* to enter Upper-Intermediate
IELTS score of 5.0* to enter Advanced
The syllabus includes three summative tests – in Weeks 4, 8 and 12. The tests are designed to check the overall academic progress of a student and whether or not learner objectives have been achieved.
Documents issued to students at end of course or an exit:
• Certificate of completion
• Certificate of partial completion
• Certificate of attendance
